SPIRIT: Your connection to the divine. Your Bliss factor.
HEART: Your emotions. Your Love factor.
MIND: Your mental state. Your Happiness factor.
BODY: Your physical wellbeing, Your Energy factor
Really pretty cool. Means that each day/week/month/season you can simply consult with the AromaDosha Blueprint and customize your aromanutrition routine. In a focused, simple way. Why? Because this is your good medicine. A preventive, proactive health prescription for a beautiful life.
Over the next several weeks we will continue to illuminate the AromaDosha Blueprint™ and how to make this system a part of your daily health care, self-care plan. You will most certainly start to notice incredible shifts in your health and experience pleasurable, sensual, elevated enjoyment of life. And of course watch as symptoms you may have suffered for years start to leave as you detoxify and rejuvenate the body through the aromatic miracles of nature.
The AromaDosha Blueprint™ is a 4-part system which includes Vata (air and ether), Pitta (fire and water), Kapha (water and earth), and Tridosha (all elements) for living in harmony with your self. Sounds nice.
We start with Tridosha – an equal balance of Vata-Pitta-Kapha. This is only one scenario as there are a myriad of options when it comes to Ayurvedic aromanutrition. We are going to start simply. Remember Ayurveda is not a one-size-fits-all plan.
1. Choose one Herb, spice, food, and essential oil (EO) from the chart for the area that feels most in need for you (spirit, heart, mind, body) or as an overall restorative daily practice.
2. Include the herbs in your food or take them with warm water if powdered (such as brahmi).
3. Add fresh aromatic spices to your food. Toasting and grinding your whole spices feels sexy! releasing the volatile aromatic molecules of the spices and infusing aromanutrition into your entire body.
4. Add essential oils to your bath in a carrier oil, or do hand-palm inhalation by adding a drop of oil to your palms, rubbing them together and putting them over your nose to inhale. Carry your oils with you in a small vial ready to sniff when you are feeling depleted.
eg.This week I will anoint myself with sandalwood to deepen my meditation, I will choose to add sage and ghee to my food (SPIRIT). I will eat 7 soaked and skinned almonds each morning after a steam or hand/palm inhalation of peppermint (MIND). I will use a dash of spicy cinnamon as a gentle pick- me-up in my fragrant rose petal afternoon tea (HEART). I will take a lavender bath in th evenings and then enjoy a warm sweet drink with turmeric half hour before bed (BODY).
You can focus on intentionally including various combinations and commit to detoxifying, nourishing, and rejuvenating yourself in a subtle and progressive way. Small mindful daily aromatic practices add up to big long-term health benefits.
